Sam Willis
The owner of Sam Willis Carpets & Flooring started from the bottom when he was just 4 years old and has been in the trade for over 21 years and is now 38 (2025 updated). His Dad, Tony, started sharing his knowledge in the trade with his 55 years of experience in Torbay. Sam has gone on to be qualified in all flooring and does up to date training yearly to offer the best service and is 9 x master installer since the age of 28 and is also 3 x semi finalist in carpet fitter of the year UK, final 14 since the age of 30.

Sam has also been offered to do teaching, helping apprenticeships. Also wanting him to go on doing teaching qualification, lesson plans and help develop the training facilities and helping bring the next generation through, Also been asked to offer training at various places.
Sam has also tested products for manufactures smoothing compounds, glues and vinyl tiles, Manufactures have used our videos like Hanson plywood and also done stands at flooring shows for manufactures. We has also installed for one of Karndean mangers recommend by there head trainer and technical at the time also installed for staff who helped do flooring apprentice's with Ofsted and lots more.
Sam is very proud to be on NICF council (the flooring institute and leading body for our trade) trying to help our trade and other fitters.
He has built up extensive knowledge about materials and quality while using traditional and contemporary methods.
Riley Parsonage
Riley, who has been with the company since beginning his apprenticeship in 2016 nearly 10 years now is fully qualified NVQ level 2 in textile and resilient also passing his master diploma with quickstep flooring in January 2023 making him one the youngest master installers in the country at 23
Riley is 6 x master installer in straight lay lvt and herringbone Laminate quickstep straight and herringbone, and wood all by quickstep and Nicf master fitter in laminate.
Riley is also a fitter member of the NICF #1689 since 2018 and had already started getting certificates with over 10 certificates

Aidan Parsonage
Aidan who is Riley's older Brother who started with us 21st November 2023. We are excited to have him with us on his flooring journey. He is now coming on brilliant and learning very well, he has done training away at FBall doing subfloor prep, from damp proofing smoothing compounds and installing LVT straight lay and herringbone.
Aidan is a 4 x master installer in vinyl tiles straight lay and herringbone, laminate straight and herringbone and wood by quickstep

He is also a member of the NICF
Kerry Willis
Sam met Kerry in 2008 and they have been married since 2012. She has always helped behind the scenes doing admin and supporting Sam.
Kerry is now in the showroom, meeting customers and helping them choose their new floor and continues to do the admin.
Kerry does our carpet whipping and is trained by FloorSkills: making rugs, runners, car matts, stair runners and more
